Hand Sewing Workshop

at Dunsmore Elementary School

For Grades 1 through 6

​

In this introductory class, students will learn basic hand sewing skills and make fun projects that everyone will love to sew.  Basic skills include:

• thread and knot a needle

• learn about different types of fabric

• how to cut out a pattern

• how to sew a running stitch and whip stitch

• how to sew on a button

• sewing room safety

Thursday - 10 classes

March 1, 8, 15, 29 (no class March 22)

April 5, 12, 19, 26

May 10, 17 (no class May 3)

 

TIME

2:45 pm to 3:45 pm

 

LOCATION

Room 4101

FEE

$187 for 10 classes (includes all tools and materials)

​

Students in Grades 1-3 will meet at the lunch table shelter at their dismissal. Students in Grades 4-6 will meet in Room 4101 at 2:45 pm. Please provide a light snack for your child.

Class is limited to 10 students.  Enrollment is only open to students of Dunsmore Elementary School.  Click here for printable flyer.
